Gobang is also known as ninuki-renju in Japanese, renju, Pente, Keryo-Pente or Tournament with a little difference in rules. Please note its not GO.

Wenn es jetzt noch möglich wird, die Option zu haben, zwei eingeschlossene Steine des Gegners, wie in GoBang raus zu schmeißen, dann gibt es 5 Sterne.
4 Gewinnt mit Zusatzzahl
Wenn man immer schon Vier Gewinnt gerne gespielt hat, wird einem iGobang noch mehr Spaß machen. Denn hier gilt es, gleich fünf Steine der eigenen Farbe waagerecht, senkrecht oder diagonal in Reihe zu bringen, um zu siegen. Und das ist wirklich - zumindest gegen den Computergegner - alles andere als leicht. Die App macht Spaß und man bleibt auch gern lange dran. Was ein wenig verbesserungsfähig wäre sind zwei kleine Dinge. Der Computergegner reagiert mir etwas zu blitzschnell auf meinen eigenen Zug. Quasi zeitgleich mit meinem Ablegen liegt schon der gegnerische Stein auf dem Brett. Das wirkt etwas befremdlich, weil eben jede "Nachdenkphase" fehlt, die ein menschlicher Gegner hätte. Würde der Computer eine "Ehren-Sekunde" warten und dann erst ablegen, wäre es besser. Und man muss beim Setzen seiner Steine schon sehr genau mit den Fingerspitzen zielen, um auch ja das richtige, gewünschte Feld zu treffen. Nicht selten sitzt so der Stein am Feld neben dem eigentlich gewünschten, und das wirkt sich natürlich wenig spiel- bzw. siegfördernd aus. Auf alle Fälle für das bisschen Geld eine schöne App und ein außerordentlich angenehmer Zeitvertreiber für Freunde spannender Strategiespiele mit einfachen Regeln. Es würde mich freuen, wenn es auch für das weit komplexere Spiel Go eine gute App geben würde, bis dato konnte ich noch keine entdecken.

New Review: Thanks for incorporating my suggestions! I will now give the program 5 Stars as promised. Just one more comment: Why does the computer always get to go first? Old Review: I used to play Pente in college and the reason the game was fun and challenging, was because the first player to get five in a row or to steal 5 pairs was the winner. Please add two features to this program and I will give it five stars: 1. The option to play a game with "pair stealing". 2. The game pieces should be placed on intersecting lines, not with the squares.

This is also well known game in Korea, named as O-Mok. Can you please add. Korean translation too? Cuz this is only O-Mok I can find from the app store...
Why no capture vs iPhone?
This is a great version of gomoku, but not of pente. Why is pente capture only enabled in pVp mode? It should be also available in the vs iPhone mode. Other than that, great game.
